2016-17: As her freshman season progressed, DuBac became a regular part of the Penn State lineup, playing in each of the Lady Ice Lions' last 12 games after skating seven times in the first 12. She was a crucial piece of PSU's ability to offer four capable forward lines, lining up regularly with Jordan Chiavacci and former SHAHA teammate Julia DeRose. DuBac captured the team's Freshman Academic Achievement Award for 2016-17 as the rookie with the highest first-semester grade point average.

Prior to Penn State: DuBac teamed with classmate Julia DeRose on the South Hills Amateur Hockey Association (SHAHA) Panthers U19 team, with 2015-16 standing as DuBac's third year overall with the organization. The left-handed shot helped make history in that final season with SHAHA, as her squad became the first group of Panthers U19s to make it to the championship game of the Pittsburgh Amateur Hockey League (PAHL) playoffs before falling to the North Pittsburgh Wildcats in double overtime by a 2-1 score. DuBac helped SHAHA close the PAHL regular season with a 4-1-2 stretch - matching Pittsburgh's area code - to build up heat for the eventual playoff run.

Personal: Nadina Marie DuBac was born on September 3, 1997 in Pittsburgh, PA to Kerry - a Penn State alumnus - and Andrea DuBac, and has an older brother, Paul. She is an accounting major but also enjoys music, as a four-year marching band member at Chartiers Valley High School. DuBac has shown early signs of a future coaching career as well: she counts teaching young kids the game among her hobbies and already has three years of helping out with a bantam boys team under her belt.
