2015-16: A significant part of the Lady Ice Lions' heart and soul, Elia was formally recognized for her role as a senior with alternate captain status. She responded with a strong campaign full of her trademark compete level and willingness to do thankless tasks. For the third time in four seasons, she appeared in every single one of Penn State's games, taking a regular spot on a checking line and contributing occasional offense - sometimes directly through points, but often simply by creating net-front havoc without actually touching the puck. Elia scored against Northeastern in the first round of the ECWHL playoffs on February 19, 2016 and picked up her assist on Darby Kern's opening goal in a 3-3 draw with Vermont at Pegula Ice Arena on January 30, 2016.

2014-15: Elia missed the first half of her junior season while studying abroad, but returned in January to skate in the Lady Ice Lions' final 13 games. With Elia back in the lineup and providing her typical toughness and net-front presence, and with six of the 13 games coming against teams that appeared at the 2015 ACHA National Tournament, PSU posted an 8-3-2 record.

2013-14: For the second consecutive year, Elia appeared in each of the team's games, making her one of just three players (Carly Szyszko and Ashton Schaffer are the others) to skate every time the Lady Ice Lions played over their first two seasons. She picked up where she left off as a freshman, remaining one of the squad's most reliable and adaptable players, with a penchant for timely offense. At West Chester on January 19, 2014, she supplied the game winning goal on the power play to go with an earlier assist to ensure a 2-1 result in one of PSU's most important regular season games. Elia's other goal also came against WCU, at home on November 9, 2013, part of a nine-goal team outburst across the weekend to silence the defending national champions. On October 20, 2013, she collected a pair of assists in a 5-3 victory over Michigan State.

2012-13: Elia was a founding member of the Lady Ice Lions, and one of just eight players to appear in all 14 games during its debut season. Without question though, the most memorable of those was the penultimate match of the campaign. In that contest, an ACHA semifinal meeting with Wisconsin-Stout, Elia played the hero with a double overtime putback goal off of an Elizabeth Denis attempt that advanced Penn State to the national championship game. She added four assists elsewhere, including two at Maryland on November 3, 2012 and one in the national championship game against West Chester on March 10, 2013, to go with her noted grit and defensive abilities.
