2016-17: Long was rostered with the team, but participated exclusively as a practice player.

2015-16: Long was out of action during the fall semester due to injury, but returned in January to offer desperately-needed stability to PSU's tenuous crease situation. Her first career start was a memorable one, as on January 9, 2016, she made 28 saves on 31 shots to help the Lady Ice Lions rally to top No. 5 Massachusetts with a 4-3 overtime result. Long picked up a pair of shutouts, both against Northeastern, with the latter coming through a 28-save effort on February 19, 2016 at the ECWHL playoffs. She went on to lead the team in several goaltending categories, including minutes, wins, shutouts (tied with Hanna Scanlon) and saves.

2014-15: After spending 2013-14 as a practice goalie for the Lady Ice Lions, Long elevated to the full roster for 2014-15. She dressed for 11 games and appeared in one, a 14-save relief effort in Penn State's 15-3 rout of Slippery Rock on November 14, 2014.
