York City Ice Arena to Host CHE Playoffs

College Hockey East's inaugural season will conclude with its playoffs at York City Ice Arena over the weekend of February 22nd and 23rd, 2014, the league has announced.

The twin-sheeter, which opened in 2001 and includes 500 bleacher seats in each rink, is located at 941 Vander Avenue, about 116 miles southeast of University Park and near Penn State's York campus (for full directions, click here). The home to the York Ice Hockey Club Devils and Lady Devils also boasts a pro shop, snack bar, game room and fitness center.

CHE's 2013-14 lineup features Penn State, Delaware, California (PA) and West Chester - a collection of teams that made up half of the 2013 ACHA National Tournament field, including both championship game participants. During the regular season, each member will play the other three twice at home and twice on the road, a total of 12 conference games. All four clubs will qualify for the playoffs.

Liberty visits Pegula Ice Arena's community rink on September 27th and 28th to open the Women's Ice Hockey Club's second campaign. The 2013 ACHA runners-up will play 11 home games (nine at PIA and two at Altoona's Galactic Ice Arena), including non-conference tilts against the Flames, Slippery Rock and Michigan State. The ACHA national championships are scheduled for March 13th through 16th, 2014 in Newark, DE. For the WIHC's full slate, click here.
