Oct. 20th MSU Match Switched to PIA
The Women's Ice Hockey Club's contest on Sunday, October 20th against Michigan State has been moved from Galactic Ice Arena in Altoona, PA to Pegula Ice Arena's Community Rink. Additionally, the game's start time has been pushed back 30 minutes, to 9:00 a.m.
Sunday's matchup is the back half of a series with MSU that will open on Saturday, October 19th at 3:15 p.m., also in the Pegula Ice Arena Community Rink.
The WIHC met Michigan State last October in East Lansing, MI and took both games, 1-0 and 2-1, with sophomore forward Devon Fisk and senior forward Carly Szyszko potting the winners. The victories were the first two in club history and helped launch a historic inaugural season that didn't end until the ACHA national championship game.
PSU opens season number two in just 11 days, on September 27th against Liberty at 10:15 p.m. in the Community Rink of the glistening new PIA on the University Park campus. Penn State will meet the Flames the next day at 6:30 p.m. in Galactic Ice Arena, followed by a weekend series at California on October 11th and 12th, then the games against the Spartans.
